The “Neural Network Opera Dreams” project shows how our virtual assistant can “see” and retell a classic opera plot. Modern algorithms create images from the so-called digital noise – gradually extracting form, color and emotion from the chaos.
This process is remarkably reminiscent of human sleep: the brain also connects memories and impressions, creating new images and stories. As a result, the viewer sees not an illustration, but a kind of “dream” of the machine about the opera. This is an attempt to look at the classics through the language of 21st century technology.
The concert program will feature popular opera heroes with beautiful melodies: Don Juan, Tatiana and Onegin, Figaro, Prince Igor, Lakme and other bright characters.

“Dwarf Nose” is a classic example of a fairy tale. But its plot is much deeper and more relevant than just a fascinating and eerie story with miracles. Jacob is the son of a merchant and a shoemaker. The world in which he grows up is rude and cynical. But then the boy ends up with an old witch, who, on the one hand, ruins Jacob’s life, turning him into a freak, and on the other, helps him recover from arrogance and discover his talent for the art of cooking. Finding himself in the body of a long-nosed dwarf, Jacob, rejected by his parents, finds the strength and wisdom to accept all the trials that befell him and build a life with a new self. This is a real miracle that Jacob created himself.

The authors believe that the viewer will be interested in getting acquainted with a modern solution to familiar images. Rigoletto becomes an ugly hunchback only for his daughter Gilda, from whom he carefully hides his real life, placing the girl in a world closed to information. Gilda herself is not a naive girl in love, but a modern young lady who is interested in meeting a man for the first time. And the killer Sparafucile will appear as a dashing American cowboy.
The authors of the play reflect on the problem of selfishness: is it acceptable to live the way the Duke of Mantua lives? It would seem why not – most people live for their own pleasure! But in the 21st century, a pandemic hit the world, and people stopped, thinking about the good old truth that living with pleasure is limited, and in trouble a person has no one but another person.
