Liam Rosenior has officially been named the head coach of Paris FC, marking his return to Ligue 1 after a previous term at Strasbourg.
The 41-year-old Englishman takes over from Antoine Kombouaré, who lasted only a few months in his role, having been appointed on February 22 this year. Rosenior’s contract with the club extends until June 2028.
Previously, Rosenior managed Chelsea for just 107 days, overseeing 23 matches before being dismissed in April, despite signing a six-year contract earlier in the year. Reports indicated that Chelsea compensated him with £4 million at the time of his departure.

Marco Neppe, the club’s sporting director, expressed confidence in Rosenior’s abilities, stating, “Liam possesses all the qualities we were seeking. He is a modern and demanding coach, demonstrating an ability to develop both players and the team. We were particularly impressed with his leadership skills and his capacity to unite a team around a clear vision. I am convinced he has all the qualities to succeed at Paris FC and wish him great success in this new chapter of his career.”
Antoine Arnault, a representative of the Arnault family, which owns the club, also welcomed Rosenior, noting, “My family and I are very happy to welcome Liam to our club and to see him return to French football. I have always been captivated by his playing philosophy and what he has built with his teams, often comprising young players.”
Arnault added that Rosenior would work closely with Neppe to shape the men’s team, which is set to resume training in a few days. Many players have expressed excitement over the appointment, aligning with the club’s ambition to establish Paris FC firmly in Ligue 1 and to progress each season, both in gameplay and standings.
