19 neurological diseases, including anxiety, depression and schizophrenia, may be worsened by climate change — scientific journal The Lancet
Scientists examined 332 medical reports published between 1968 and 2023 and found that climate change may negatively affect people with neurological and psychiatric diseases.
According to the study, about 19 neurological diseases may become more severe due to sudden changes in temperature and weather conditions.
According to experts, this applies to those suffering from migraines, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, as well as anxiety, depression and schizophrenia.
