In Lesosibirsk, the Yeniseilesozavod company launched the production of pellets and charcoal briquetted from logging waste. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Previously, the company was engaged only in timber harvesting in the Yenisei and Motyginsky regions. Now chips, sawdust, slabs and other wood that remains after logging and sawmilling will be processed here. The company has already completed construction and installation work, created a production and warehouse complex, connected it to the power grid and put into operation lines for the production of pellets and coal. The company also purchased equipment, vehicles and special equipment.

The project was supported by the regional Industrial Development Fund. He provided the company with a loan of 100 million rubles under the Timber Processing program for 5 years at 4% per annum. The company invested another 200 million rubles from its own funds. The planned production volume will be 20.8 thousand tons of pellets and 5.5 thousand tons of charcoal briquetted per year. Now the complex has already been put into operation and is preparing for serial production.

According to the deputy director of the Yeniseile Plant, Maxim Pshenichnikov, the technology makes it possible to produce coal with a high carbon content, about 90%. This product can be used in metallurgy, the production of activated carbon, water filters, gas masks and gas purification systems.

The region's Minister of Industry and Trade, Maxim Ermakov, noted that processing logging waste is especially important for timber industrial areas.

“Using the example of Yeniseylesozavod, we see how the logger found an effective solution and created highly sought-after highly processed products,” he emphasized.

The project corresponds to the development strategy of the forestry complex of the Krasnoyarsk Territory until 2030. It involves the involvement of wood waste in processing, reducing the environmental load and producing products with high added value.
