The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, carried out successful strikes on the Tamanneftegaz oil and gas terminal in the Krasnodar region of the aggressor country of Russia. The SBU press service reported this on June 13.
It is the largest complex for transshipment of liquefied hydrocarbons in the south of Russia. SBU drones hit five tanks with petroleum products in the tank farm, as well as two oil loading stands at the terminal.
Fires are also raging in the area of the truck parking lot and warehouse infrastructure of Tamanneftegaz. The positions of the Russian air defense, which covered the facility, also came under attack, the SBU added.
The governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, confirmed the attack on the Temryuk region. He indicated that as a result of “falling drone debris,” a fire occurred at the marine terminal.
He did not specify which port the UAV hit.
The Exilenova+ monitoring channel wrote about an attack on the port complex in Taman, which resulted in two fires. The first fire was recorded on the territory of the liquefied hydrocarbon gas terminal of the Tamanneftegaz company. The tank farm of the plant is 28.8 thousand m³. The second fire broke out in the area of truck parking and warehouse infrastructure.
Advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Sergei Sternenko added on Telegram that the seaport of Temryuk in Kuban was damaged. This is a strategic universal transshipment complex on the coast of the Azov Sea, providing transshipment of petroleum products, chemical cargo, grain, coal and metal.
