Krasnoyarsk residents are warned about fines and actual sentences for setting fire to dry grass

The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations warns of liability for improper burning of dry grass and garbage.

Fire and rescue units responded to dry grass fires 43 times. The total area was over 183 hectares.

The department reminds that there is both administrative and criminal liability for burning grass. In case of administrative punishment faces a fine:

  • from 5 to 15 thousand rubles. for citizens;
  • from 20 to 30 thousand rubles. for officials;
  • from 300 to 400 thousand rubles. for legal entities.

If violations of the rules for burning dry grass and garbage resulted in serious harm to health, death, destruction or damage to forest plantations and property of citizens, then the guilty person will bear criminal liability.

50 cases of administrative offenses were initiated for burning dry grassy vegetation, as well as for untimely removal of garbage, dry vegetation and unmown grass.

The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations appeals to all residents of the region: “Be careful and vigilant in nature, do not light fires in open areas with dry grass, especially in windy weather!”
