Context
After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation, Vinnik stopped appearing in public and running social networks. In the summer of 2023, in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Victoria Kurochka, the singer said that left Ukraine on February 26, 2022 and lives in Berlin (Germany).
In August 2024, Vinnik’s ex-producer Alexander Gorbenko admitted that Vinnik allegedly left Ukraine on February 27, 2022, hiding under a blanket in the car of his wife Nina Gorbenko. The producer clarified that Vinnik’s wife, singer Taisiya Svatko, was driving the car.
In the summer of 2025, Vinnik posted a series of videos on social networks in his own defense. He stated that he always came to Ukraine only to earn money and that his son was born in Germany. Then he admitted that he had not had a Ukrainian passport since 2000. “I don’t have any real estate in Ukraine, no fat accounts, no cars. I don’t even have an internal passport since 2000, I live using a foreign one. Such miracles,” the artist added.
He assured that he legally left Ukraine in February 2022.
