Krasnoyarsk traffic police has strengthened control over drivers

June 13 9:38

In connection with the beginning of the active summer season and mass trips to nature, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Krasnoyarsk is strengthening control over compliance with traffic rules on country roads.

There, to prevent accidents associated with driving into the oncoming lane and speeding, “hidden” patrols are on duty, which record on video emergency violations in the flow of traffic and transmit information to the nearest traffic police crew to stop drivers and bring them to justice.

Also on weekends, police patrol the exits from the city and roads adjacent to dacha areas. Massive raids are being carried out to identify drunk drivers.

“The State Traffic Inspectorate of Krasnoyarsk urges drivers not to rush and refrain from rash maneuvers. Remember to wear seat belts and ensure your child has a suitable child restraint system. <...> Remember about the inadmissibility of driving a vehicle after consuming even a small dose of alcohol – in this case, you must use the services of a taxi or a “sober driver.” Traffic inspectors recommend that residents of the regional center take an active civic position and report cases of drunk driving by calling the Blue Line. 263-10-19,” — stated in the department's statement.

It should be noted that since the beginning of this year, 1,755 drunk drivers have been detained in Krasnoyarsk and Divnogorsk.
