Eugen Tomac's reaction after USR announced that the Government does not support him: “I am ready and determined to move on”

Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac said on Friday that he took note of the USR's decision not to support the investiture of the Government, but declares himself “prepared and determined” to continue the approach, and will submit the list of ministers and the Government Program to the Parliament, notes News.ro.
USR decided on Friday that it will not support the Tomac Government, announced the president of the party, Dominic Fritz, who accused that a technocrat executive does not solve the political crisis, but only masks PSD's refusal to assume the government.
Prime Minister-designate Eugen Tomac commented on Friday evening, on Antena 3CNN, the decision taken by USR not to support the investiture of the Government.
“I have taken note of their position and obviously I am ready and determined to move on, because the country needs a stable government, a new government and no political games with an electoral purpose, because the elections are in 2028”, declared Eugen Tomac.
He announces that he will continue on Saturday to discuss with the members of the Romanian Parliament, “with deputies and senators from all political parties”.
“There are currently more than 200 members of the Romanian Parliament who support the project I proposed (…) they are members of the Romanian Parliament and this is an extremely important aspect, because I am coming before the Parliament with a government outside the political spectrum and I am interested in being voted on by the members of the Romanian Parliament”, stated Tomac.
He mentioned, however, that he will not discuss with “infrequent” parliamentarians: “We are keeping the line we assumed”.
Asked with whom he is negotiating to support the Government, Tomac explained:
“People who believe that Romania's place is in Europe, people who believe that the partnership with the United States is essential for Romania's security, people who are interested in the Romanian Government stopping the waste of public money, people who are interested in the Romanian state not losing during this period huge resources made available by the European Union”.
“At the moment we are discussing the need to provide stability to the country because others want chaos, instability and the deepening of the economic crisis. Each Romanian has put important resources from his own pocket to correct some of the errors of the political class. We have all paid a cost (…) I am confident in the seriousness of the Romanian parliamentarians”, added the designated prime minister.
