Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia, referring to media reports about his meeting with PiS MEP Adam Bielan, wrote on Friday on platform X that he is hardly at the position that politicians of various options should talk to each other.

According to Radio Zet and “Newsweek”, Hołownia visited one of the most important MEPs of Law and Justice in a private apartment of Adam Bielan on Thursday. The meeting took place on Thursday before midnight in Warsaw's white stone. Hołownia assessed in the post on platform X that “intensification and excitement related to yesterday's meeting is neither justified nor indicated”.

“I am one of the few politicians in Poland, who – I emphasize – regularly meets representatives of both deadly camps. I am hardly at the position that – especially nowadays – politicians of various options should talk to each other, we kill each other differently. I consider it a norm, not a departure from her, and I will continue to be like this, as the Marshal of the Sejm, he wrote.

That is why – as he emphasized – he regularly meets and talks to coalition leaders. He added that the Friday, four -hour meeting of coalition leaders was very good.

As Hołownia explained, he occasionally meets the opposition. “In recent months I talked to Jarosław Kaczyński, and Mariusz Błaszczak, and Marek Suski, and Adam Bielan, and Michał Wójcik and many other PiS policies. Sometimes the subject of conversations is the act important for the opposition, the act, sometimes the exchange of information about the current situation, e.g. in the context of relations with the US.
