The latest renewed attacks on Iran make no sense. American President Donald Trump claims that he violated the current “paper” ceasefire because “Iran waited too long to reach an agreement that would be extremely beneficial to it.”
But the truth is that Trump needs this deal most of all, as November's congressional elections draw near and the Iran war wanes in popularity. Trump's fellow Republicans in the GOP — both in the House and Senate — could lose their seats.
Or they will distance themselves from the American president, which is also not very beneficial for Trump, because this could lay the groundwork for purging the Republican Party of the president who has so far damaged it the most in history.
A peace agreement is therefore needed by Washington more than by Tehran. Trump's current attacks are a kick against the wall by an immature teenager who fails to extort a toy car from his parents as an 18th birthday present.
However, the attacks on Trump prove something else – something that may soon affect the lives of all of us. It may soon attack Tehran with as much force as possible, just to prove that it can still defeat it.
The US strikes against Iran are a demonstration of what the American president's policy will look like after the November elections completely stop tying his hands.
At best, the fall elections may end in favor of Democrats in the House of Representatives. However, there is no chance that the Republicans will also lose the Senate. Trump will not become a typical “lame duck” – but rather a crazed turkey who will try to fly.

He will try to emulate his aggressive and uncompromising style of building a real estate empire at the beginning of his career, although now, at the end of his career, he no longer has the strength to defeat even the much weaker Iran.
Therefore, he will kick and punch this wall even harder, and it is likely that he will attack Tehran with the greatest possible force. He will do this just to prove that he can still win.
However, it is not at all certain that he will succeed only by using conventional weapons. It is therefore very good that the army is currently refusing to give him the codes necessary to use nuclear weapons.
But the question is: how much longer will the military be able to resist the pressure of the crazed president?
What if Trump has already lost all inhibitions?
However, there is one more possibility. Namely, Trump launched his current attacks on Iran because right now he has decided to finally abandon his party colleagues and the November congressional elections.
And in the case of the reclusive Trump, whose politics resemble a lone wolf before a terrorist attack, this is not at all out of the question. It simply may have occurred to him that he can ignore the November elections, because his message to humanity is much more important than the results of any election. People like him are unfortunately, at the end of their lives, obsessed with the desire to leave some legacy for future generations.
In such a case, future threats will materialize now in the form of a war apocalypse led by a madman who puts his compulsive ego above a well-thought-out military and political strategy.
In such a case, you better hold on tight and secure your finances. We may be facing a period of unpredictable tensions that will affect the entire global economy. It's hard to say what else Trump will come up with to show the world what he's capable of.
