Trump: Russia has proposed a “large concession” – giving up the whole country

You have no idea how much pressure we put on Russia, otherwise Russia would not talk – said US President Donald Trump on Thursday during a meeting with Norway Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoler. Trump said that Russia proposed a “large concession” in the form of giving up the whole country.

“We put a lot of pressure. You don't even know what pressure I put on Russia (…) Russia would not talk to us now, and the prime minister understands it better than anyone else,” said Trump, pointing to the Norwegian prime minister during their meeting in the oval office. The US President did not want to answer the question whether he intends to impose additional sanctions on Russia, if she would not agree soon to end the war, although he said that “he would not be happy” and “things will start to happen”.

When asked about what concessions Russia made, Trump replied that they were to stop the invasion and give up “taking the whole country.”

“It's quite a big concession,” he commented. (PAP)
