UAV operators of the 3rd Regiment of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces took under air control part of the Russian invaders' land route to Crimea. The regiment's press service reported this on Facebook on June 6.
“The drones of the Special Operations Forces unit destroy equipment and destroy the enemy’s logistics routes on the Melitopol-Chongar route. As a result, logistics in terms of supplying the Russian army and fuel to the peninsula are already difficult,” the military said.
The head of the occupation administration of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, spoke on Telegram about the drone attack and its consequences.
“As a result of a night attack by a UAV, the bridge deck in the area of the village of Chongar was damaged. For safety reasons, traffic through the Dzhankoy ACP is temporarily blocked. Vehicles pass through the Armyansk ACP and the Perekop ACP,” he wrote.
The Russian publication Astra drew attention to the fact that against this background, on June 7, the Crimean Bridge was temporarily not working. The media cited a message from the information center, which covers the situation on the road approaches to the bridge, about the resumption of traffic on the Crimean Bridge. According to these data, the bridge was closed to vehicle traffic for about an hour, the post says.
Earlier, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported about a missile and drone attack on the occupied peninsula and objects that, according to preliminary data, were hit.
