The court chose a preventive measure for the ex-mayor of Odessa for 60 days, Dumskaya clarified.

During the meeting, prosecutors explained their position by saying that Trukhanov and his mother have savings, and the former mayor of Odessa also has connections, so he can flee the country.

The defense asked not to restrict Trukhanov’s freedom. His lawyer noted that this is not Trukhanov’s first criminal case and he has never tried to escape.

The ex-mayor of Odessa spoke in court via video link. Trukhanov said that he has an elderly mother who will need support after the operation.

According to the court decision, Trukhanov will have to wear an electronic bracelet, surrender his international passport and register with the investigator, Dumskaya emphasized.
