An official from Lesosibirsk received a “convent” for an attempt to move a pensioner to an emergency apartment

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the court issued a decision in the criminal case of the ex-head of the Committee on the Management of the Municipal Property of Lesosibirsk.

The prosecutor’s office reminded that a pensioner with disabilities turned to them for help, whose house was under the resettlement as an emergency one. The administration in 2021 bought her an apartment in the secondary market for 2.1 million rubles. But the new apartment was even worse than the previous one.

“New” housing was built in 1990, although by law you can buy an apartment in houses in the secondary market, built no earlier than 1993. There was no plate in the apartment, parts of batteries, washbasin, and the ceiling and floor are destroyed. The doors were abnormally narrow, through which safe evacuation is impossible.

Based on the materials of the prosecutor’s inspection, a criminal case was opened. The court found the ex-official guilty of abuse by official powers (part 3 of article 285 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced him to 3 years of conditional imprisonment with a trial period of 2 years with deprivation of the right to occupy the position of state and municipal service for 1.5 years.

Earlier, at the suit of the prosecutor, the court recognized the municipal contract invalid and ordered the seller to return the money to the regional budget. The decision is executed. After the intervention of the prosecutor’s office, the pensioner is provided with a new apartment that meets sanitary and residential standards.
