
Roasted chickpeas are an easy way to turn a common legume into a delicious snack. Spicy, crispy grains will appeal even to those who are indifferent to healthy snacks. Everything is prepared in 30 minutes, and the ingredients can be found in any kitchen cabinet, say home cooks.
You will need:
Canned or pre-boiled chickpeas – 1 can or 400 g
Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. spoon
Mix of spices (smoked paprika, dried garlic, salt) – to taste
How to cook:
- Drain the chickpeas and dry the grains thoroughly with a paper towel.
- Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer.
- Drizzle with vegetable oil and sprinkle generously with spices.
- Mix well with your hands so that each grain is evenly coated with the mixture.
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Roast for 25-30 minutes until the chickpeas are golden and crisp.
Serve completely cooled with your choice of sauce: sour cream with herbs, classic hummus or tomato salsa.
