Today, First Deputy Head of Krasnoyarsk Alexander Matsak, together with representatives of the customer service, specialists from district administrations, designers and contractors, checked the progress of improvement of two public spaces – Gvardeysky Park and the embankment of the Kacha River from Korotkogo Lane.
Gvardeysky Park is being reconstructed in preparation for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk. On behalf of the regional governor, Mikhail Kotyukov, the concept of renewing the territory was discussed with city residents, including combat veterans and participants of the Northern Military District. The main idea of the project is to emphasize the historical significance of the place and perpetuate the memory of the contribution of Krasnoyarsk residents to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The improvement of the park is planned for two stages. This year, new paths will be built here, the foundations will be prepared for future sites, more than 6 thousand square meters of lawns will be renewed, and benches and trash cans will be installed. In addition, two new entrance groups in the form of arches will appear on the territory.
The progress of the work is closely monitored by the residents themselves. Krasnoyarsk resident Olga Tikhonova notes that the park has long needed updating.
“At the moment I’m happy with everything. The most important thing is that they took up this matter, the improvement. As far as I understand, it was either possible to do a patch repair, or to completely put everything in order. I like the second option better,” shared a resident of the Sovetsky district.
In the Central region, a large-scale transformation of the Kachi embankment continues. Work on the left bank section from Yudinsky Bridge to Weinbaum Street has been carried out in stages since 2020 as part of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
When developing the concept, experts tried to take into account the interests of different categories of citizens. The territory will be divided into several functional zones and pedestrian and bicycle paths will be installed. In the central part there will be two decks on stilts, which will allow comfortable passage under low bridges. Modern lighting, benches and trash cans will also be installed on the embankment.
According to the participants of the offsite meeting, there are no serious comments on the pace and organization of work. At the same time, special attention was paid to preserving green spaces. Earlier, on the social networks of the head of Krasnoyarsk, Sergei Vereshchagin, residents reported cases of careless handling of trees and shrubs during landscaping.
Contracting organizations are given a strict condition: only emergency and dangerous trees must be removed. The remaining green spaces should be preserved or replanted. Compliance with these requirements will be under constant control of the customer.
“We took the contractors under separate control regarding their work with landscaping. We set the task of minimizing damage to the green fund when executing design decisions. All plants must be preserved as much as possible, even if this may require adjustments to projects,” emphasized First Deputy Mayor Alexander Matsak.
