A three-year-old boy and his mother died as a result of a fire in the village of Podsopki, Bolshemurtinsko-Sukhobuzimsky district, Krasnoyarsk Territory, reports the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The tragedy happened today at three o'clock in the afternoon – a two-apartment residential building caught fire. The fire was extinguished in an area of 120 square meters. The bodies of a woman and her son were found inside the house.
According to the preliminary version, the cause of the fire was carelessness while smoking.
Rescuers note that since the beginning of summer, three adults and one child have already died in the region as a result of domestic fires. In most cases, the cause of the tragedy was human negligence. “Pay attention to your home – whether everything is in order with the wiring or electrical appliances, and whether you leave candles or other open flame sources unattended. Install a fire alarm to wake you up in case of fire. Such simple actions will save the life of you and your family,” said the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
