The President of France announces major investments
Speaking during the summit, Emmanuel Macron emphasized that the total amount of EUR 93 billion means “several thousand jobs”. He believed that this was a consolidation of the efforts of recent years. – This is the fruit of reforms, perseverance, and the ecosystem that we have managed to build – argued the president who initiated this economic forum, organized since 2018. – Over recent years, we have consolidated an environment favorable to enterprises – said Macron.
He argued that France is moving forward when it comes to the speed of implementing industrial projects. He called it “Notre Dame strategy”, referring to the rapid pace of reconstruction of the Paris cathedral after the fire. – We managed to rebuild Notre Dame in five years and this is also what we do for business and industrial projects – he said.
He emphasized that France has a “historical” advantage in the form of nuclear energy. He recalled that in 2022, at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, France was importing electricity, but now it is exporting it, which gives it the ability to invest in data centers.
