The prosecutor's office approved a freelance journalist from Krasnoyarsk charge of publicly disseminating deliberately false information about the use of the Russian Armed Forces.

It was established that in 2023, a woman who collaborated with the publication “Sibir.Realii” (recognized as a foreign agent in 2017) interviewed a famous artist. The conversation touched, among other things, on the questions of the SVO, to which the interlocutor did not answer.

“In an effort to monetize his work, the “shark of the pen” was not embarrassed by the lack of comments, and “composed” a speech. The finished material was published in the publication’s community and attracted the attention of law enforcement officers. A forensic linguistic examination was appointed, which examined the text. Experts came to the conclusion that the published material contained false statements about hostile actions of the Russian army,” the prosecutor’s office said.

The journalist was detained in September 2025 and has been in custody since then.
