Weather alert in almost the whole country: torrential rains, blizzards and hail. ANM has updated the forecast until tomorrow evening
More than half of the country is under a yellow code warning of torrential rains and storms, from today, from 12:00 p.m., until Tuesday morning, at 10:00 a.m. The weather will continue to be unsettled tomorrow when another severe weather warning comes into effect.
The areas affected by the first yellow code are Banat, Crișana, Maramureș, Transylvania, Oltenia, northern Muntenia and Dobrogea and southwestern Moldova.
According to ANM, starting from the second part of Monday (June 1) and until Tuesday morning (June 2) in Banat, Crisana, Maramureș, Transylvania, Oltenia, northern Muntenia and Dobrogea and southwestern Moldova, there will be periods of heightened atmospheric instability that will be manifested by torrential downpours, electrical discharges, wind intensifications, in some places thunderstorms and hail.
Especially in short time intervals there will be water quantities of 15…25 l/m2 and in small spaces 40…50 l/m2.
Meteorologists warn that there will be manifestations of atmospheric instability in limited areas and in the rest of the country.
Another yellow code for rain and gales comes into effect tomorrow, June 2, and is in effect until 10 p.m. this evening.
Thus, according to ANM, on Tuesday (June 2) in most of Transylvania, the north and east of Muntenia, the north-east of Oltenia, the south and south-east of Moldova and in Dobrogea there will be periods of accentuated atmospheric instability which will be manifested by torrential downpours, electrical discharges, intensification of the wind, in some places gales and hail.
Especially in short time intervals there will be water quantities of 15…25 l/m2 and isolated 30…40 l/m2.
