Owners are required to walk their dogs on a leash, clean up their excrement, and for potentially dangerous breeds it is mandatory to wear a muzzle even in special areas, notes Saratov 24 TV channel. For non-compliance with walking rules, fines range from 1,500 to 3,000 rubles, and in case of damage to human health, the fine can reach 30,000 rubles.
Dogs require annual vaccinations against rabies and leptospirosis, and owners face fines of 1,000 to 1,500 rubles for failure to vaccinate. When transported on public transport, decorative dogs must be in carriers, and large dogs must be muzzled and on a leash.
According to information from the State Services portal, mandatory registration of dogs is in effect in more than 20 regions of the country, but the list does not yet include the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
