The Krasnoyarsk team “Yeniseyushka” became the European champion in rafting

The Krasnoyarsk women's team “Yeniseyushka” won medals at the European rafting championship. This was reported by the Ministry of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

The competition took place on the Vrbas River in the city of Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Crews from 15 countries took part in them. The Krasnoyarsk team included Ekaterina Kozhanova, Valentina Kozhanova, Inna Zinovyeva and Tamara Chugunova.

According to the results of the championship, “Yeniseyushka” won 9 medals. Krasnoyarsk athletes won 6 gold and 3 silver awards. In the sprint, the women's team became the European champion. The Krasnoyarsk team also distinguished itself in mixed crews. Inna Zinovieva and Tamara Chugunova as part of Mixed 2 won gold, and Ekaterina and Valentina Kozhanov in Mixed 1 became silver medalists.

In the RX discipline among women, “Yeniseyushka” again took first place. In mixed teams, Ekaterina and Valentina Kozhanov brought gold to the Russian team, and Inna Zinovieva and Tamara Chugunova took silver.

In slalom, the Krasnoyarsk team also became the strongest among women's crews. In mixed fives, athletes from the Krasnoyarsk Territory won gold and silver.
