Aryna Sabalenka (28, 1 WTA) qualified for the Roland Garros quarterfinals after a 7-5, 6-3 win over Naomi Osaka (28, 16 WTA). At the end of this match, the full draw of the quarter-finals is known, with all players coming from Eastern Europe.

“She's such a good player. I always have tough battles with her, she plays aggressively. I'm very happy with how I served, with the fact that I put pressure on her. Wow, it's amazing to play in front of you in the evening session. It's my first time and I want to play again. Who knows. Thank you for creating this remarkable atmosphere. You make things special,” said Sabalenka, at the on-field interview.

“I'm very happy with my serve. I didn't expect to serve so well. In this tournament, I feel like I'm getting better every match and I'm happy with my performance,” she added.

At this moment, all the players qualified for the quarterfinals at Roland Garros are known and they all come from Eastern Europe. The last 8 tennis players present in competition in Paris come from Russia (3), Ukraine (2), Poland (1), Belarus (1) and Romania (1).
