Gabriel Torje (36 years old) is preparing for the adventure of a lifetime in Asia Express, season 9. Together with former fighter Alin Alexuc (36 years old), the two will have an epic route that will take them through Uzbekistan and China, on the “Silk Road”.
GSP.RO exclusively announced that Gabriel Torje and Alin Alexuc will team up in the newest season of Asia Express, produced by Antena 1.
After Gabriel Tamaș and Dan Alexa put on a show and got their hands on the big prize at Asia Express last season, now the two athletes will try to claim the trophy.

Today, Antena 1 also announced the destinations where Torje and Alexuc will arrive. “A journey that is not only about distances and tests, but about the meeting of two worlds with huge cultural differences, about people and customs seen beyond tourist clichés”, as announced by the producers of the phenomenon show.

What's next for Torje in Asia Express
Antena 1 officials have given more details about what will happen in the new season of Asia Express.
“Competitors will not only face classic traditions and tests, they will not only get to know idyllic landscapes and old traditions, but they will also be put in front of ultra modern systems”they announce.
“From highly developed cities to high-tech solutions, which will raise questions from many points of view. It will be about adaptability in a world where tradition and innovation intersect at every step”, the officials of the station also specified.
Who are Torje and Alexuc?
Gabriel Torje (36 years old) is a former champion of Romania with Farul Constanța, with matches in the Primera Division and Serie Abut also in the national team jersey, 57 matches and 12 goals. He debuted with Răzvan Lucescu and ticked off the last call-up during Daum's tenure.

Alin Alexuc participated in 4 editions of the Olympic Games: London (2012), Rio de Janeiro (2016), Tokyo (2021) and Paris (2024). European Greco-Roman Champion in 2020, announced his retirement in December 2024.
