Advisor to the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Eldar Baichorov, head of the economic security department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the republic, Lieutenant Colonel Temirlan Baikulov, and several employees of the Ministry of Agriculture were detained. They are suspected of stealing government subsidies worth 60 million rubles. Everyone was searched.
According to the investigation, the organizer of the fraudulent scheme is the first head of the ORCh of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Russia for the North Caucasus Federal District, Khusei Uzdenov (pictured). Previously, subsidies were issued to his relatives. The fraud lasted for two years.
During searches in his palace, law enforcement officers found three million rubles in cash, eight pairs of luxury watches, several phones and jewelry. The case was opened under the article “Fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale.”
