Ukraine received an IRIS-T launcher from Germany. “We managed to save thousands of lives”

Sweden will send combat planes to Ukraine
The president recalled that this week Ukraine concluded a defense agreement with Sweden, which provides, among other things, handover of Gripen aircraft. On Thursday, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced after his meeting with Zelensky that his country would donate 16 JAS 39 Gripen C/D combat aircraft along with ammunition to Ukraine and sell 20 newer generation JAS 39 Gripen E/F fighters.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized the need to continue the PURL program. The Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List allows NATO allies to finance U.S. weapons purchases for Ukraine.
“The PURL program received new financial contributions this year, and support for this initiative should be continued. We count on both the United States and European partners. Anti-ballistic defense is one of Ukraine's key priorities,” he emphasized.
Russian attacks on civilian targets
The head of state informed that last week the Russians used over two thousand three hundred strike drones, almost one thousand five hundred sixty guided air bombs and one hundred eight rockets of various types in attacks on his country.
“All these strikes were aimed simply at ordinary civilian infrastructure – residential buildings, energy facilities. Every day we work to make protection against Russian terror more effective,” Zelensky concluded.
