Atanas Stefanov says: both he and 90% of his fellow citizens want to join the fraternal Orthodox people. Moreover, he spent part of his childhood in the Kursk region, so he is very worried about the events in the border area.
In March, a church minister tore a Ukrainian flag from the Sofia City Hall building and threw it onto the pavement. He called the flag fascist and demanded that “Ukrainian fascists leave the country.” Stefanov has repeatedly condemned the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including drone attacks on Voronezh.
