The price slide continues. We have new data

Currently, we pay on average for a basket of a dozen or so groceries PLN 103 and 76 groszy. This is according to a new list of experts from the PanParagon application for Business Insider Polska. This means a weekly decline of as much as 2.4%.
But it is also cheaper than at the same time in 2025. Back then, the same purchases cost PLN 106 and 95 groszy. So we have a decline of over 3%. from this perspective – despite the conflict in the Middle East and high fuel prices.
Tomato drops 14%.
When it comes to weekly indicators, the raspberry tomato recorded the largest decline – by over 14%. Now 1 kg costs PLN 14.73. Also cheaper are: potatoes, rapeseed oil or red peppers.

Why do we analyze receipts?
Data from receipts tell us the truth about how much Poles pay on average for individual items. We analyze 14 basic products that are on the shopping lists of most Poles.
PanParagon is a popular application that allows you to search for promotions and store receipts. Millions of proofs of purchase enter the system every month. Such extensive, anonymous data from receipts allows us to create reliable analyzes regarding, among others: actual product prices, real inflation or current purchasing trends.
