The information was published on the “Annunțul UK” Facebook page, where an official notice appeared on the door of the restaurant. According to the document, the company that manages the restaurant allegedly violated the lease due to rent arrears.
According to the notice displayed at the entrance, the owners of the space applied the legal procedure of “re-entry”which allows the recovery of possession of the building in case of non-compliance with the contract by the tenant. The document states that rent arrears have exceeded seven days.
Under these conditions, the restaurant can no longer operate until the legal situation is clarified. According to information published online, the restaurant could only be reopened if Pescobar wins a possible court case or reaches an agreement with the owners of the space.
The situation comes about 14 months after the opening of the “Octopus Kebab” restaurant, when Paul Nicolau announced receipts of over one million pounds in the first weekend of operation. At that time, the entrepreneur stated that the investment for the opening of the premises amounted to approximately 450,000 pounds.
The opening of the restaurant in Camden Market was heavily promoted on social networks, and in the first days after the opening, long lines of customers were surprised at the entrance to the premises.
