Russia announced the delivery of nuclear weapons to field storage points on the territory of Belarus as part of nuclear exercises. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this on May 20 in Telegram.
“The personnel of the missile formations are carrying out combat training tasks of obtaining special ammunition for the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system, equipping launch vehicles with them and covertly moving to the designated position area in preparation for missile launches,” the department said in a statement.
The statement also recalled that during the exercises they practice “joint preparation and use of nuclear weapons” located on the territory of Belarus.
“The exercises of nuclear forces are gaining momentum,” the Russian Ministry of Defense later said, publishing another video of the deployment of the missile system.
