Eurovision 2026. The moment when Alexandra Căpitănescu finds out that she is in the final. The TVR presenter could not control herself

The entire delegation of Romania at Eurovision, including Alexandra Căpitănescu, burst out with joy when they found out that our country qualified for the grand final of the music contest.

The moment was one of intensity, because there were only a few places left for Saturday's final, after after midnight on Thursday, the first participants, out of the maximum number of 10, who had already obtained the ticket for the last act of the competition, began to be announced.

Alexandra Căpitănescu and her bandmates were waiting for the news with their hearts in their mouths, and then, at the moment of the announcement, they jumped for joy, waved Romanian flags and hugged each other.

Immediately after, the TVR presenter had her own moment of joy: she screamed very loudly for several seconds, covering the entire background sound of the public television station's broadcast.

“I hope I didn't break your TV speakers,” the presenter's colleague then joked.

Alongside Alexandra Căpitănescu, her bandmates performed in Vienna: Bogdan Stoican, Luca Şofron, Matei Cohal and Thomas Cîrcotă.

Romania qualified during the night from Thursday to Friday in the final of the Eurovision 2026 contest, which will take place on May 16.

The representative of our country, Alexandra Căpitănescu, took the stage in Vienna in the second semifinal of the music competition, after which 10 other countries, out of 15 competitors, qualified for the grand final.

Performing the song “Choke Me”, Alexandra Căpitănescu had an electrifying appearance, to the cheers of the audience.

In fact, the Eurovision Facebook account also wrote, next to the video with the Romanian performance: “An electrifying performance by Alexandra Căpitănescu hit the Eurovision stage”.

The second semi-final of Eurovision 2026 was broadcast live by TVR, just like the first, on Tuesday.

The final of the competition will also be broadcast on the official Eurovision YouTube.
