Trump Reveals What Xi Told Him About China's Military Intentions In Iran, Plus A Small Detail About 200 Boeing Jet Order

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, had assured him that Beijing would not send military equipment to Iran and that it was ready to help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, AFP and Reuters reported.
“He said he would not provide military material … He said it forcefully,” the US president said, according to an excerpt from the Fox News interview after his meeting with the Chinese leader in Beijing.
The US president also said that the Chinese president wants to “see the Strait of Hormuz open”.
“He (Xi, no) said: “If I can be of any use, I will be delighted to help”, Trump reported, according to Agerpres.
China has agreed to buy 200 Boeing jets, Trump says
China has agreed to order 200 Boeing jets, the US president told Fox News Channel's Sean Hannity in excerpts of an interview broadcast on Thursday, marking Beijing's first purchase of US-made commercial aircraft in nearly a decade.
Few details about the deal were immediately available, but Boeing shares fell more than 4 percent after Trump's claims aired.
The total figure was much lower than reported in media reports that suggested the plane maker was close to closing a deal to sell 500 or more aircraft to China.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request about whether Trump was referring to the entire Boeing order or just the narrow- and wide-body planes. Boeing did not immediately comment.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent previously said he expected an announcement on a large order for Boeing during Trump's visit to Beijing, where he held talks with Xi Jinping.
“One thing he (Xi, no) accepted today is that there will be an order of 200 planes…Boeing wanted 150, they got 200,” Trump also said, according to Fox News.
