The traffic pattern at the busy intersection of Aviator Street will be changed. This was announced by the mayor of Krasnoyarsk Sergei Vereshchagin.
The changes will affect the rotary gateway at the Planeta shopping center. Here, according to the administration, in the last year alone there have been 33 accidents, five of them with injuries. Krasnoyarsk residents have repeatedly written to the mayor on social networks about the need to reconstruct this section of the road.
The gateway will be moved closer to Alekseev Street, and additional acceleration and deceleration lanes will be installed there. According to modeling data, this solution will partially relieve the highway, especially during the evening rush hour.
This season, 56 facilities are planned to be renovated in Krasnoyarsk. Aviator Street is one of the largest, its length is more than three kilometers. Work there has already begun.
