Aeroflot will receive the first batch of fully imported MS-21 aircraft in 2026-2027. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenko at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy.
As IrkutskMedia news agency writes with reference to Interfax, we are talking about the supply of 18 aircraft. The appearance of the aircraft and all technical characteristics have already been agreed upon with the group of airlines. The preparation of operating and after-sales service systems is now being completed.
Aeroflot has already used the first working computer simulator MS-21-310 in its training center, where flight crew training has begun.
Let us remind you that all Russian aircraft are assembled at a plant in Irkutsk. The company is preparing to produce at least 24 aircraft per year, and in the future – up to 36. Now MC-21-310 continues the stage of flight certification tests. They will be completed by mid-autumn 2026.
