Fraudsters defrauded gullible residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory of more than 53 million rubles in a week

Over the past week alone, more than 53 million rubles were stolen remotely from 97 residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The prosecutor's office released a report on mobile fraud.

Thus, in 28 cases, the attackers called under the guise of employees of various services and organizations, reporting thatThe money in the accounts is at risk, and for safety they need to be transferred to “safe accounts.”
23 people were harmed online by clicking on phishing links on online shopping sites: they made transfers through the fast payment system to pay for goods and services that they did not receive.
In 11 cases, people saw advertisements on the Internet about additional income, trading on the stock exchange and investment proposals, entered into correspondence with scammers who stole their funds.
9 residents received phishing links on social networks and instant messengers, including messages from the accounts of friends asking them to borrow money.
Another 26 people were injured online, having fallen for the tricks of unidentified persons through deception.
In each case, criminal cases have been initiated and investigated. The prosecutor's office sent 51 statements of claim to the regional courts: 49 – on the recovery of unjust enrichment from droppers in the amount of 18 million rubles and two – on challenging loan agreements in the amount of 1.2 million rubles. 78 claims were considered and satisfied for a total amount of 27.5 million rubles.
In total, since the beginning of this year, 2,056 residents of the region have already suffered from Internet criminals, the total damage caused amounted to 855 million rubles. 495 IT crimes were solved. 277 criminal cases of Internet theft were sent to the courts.
