Sergey Natarova once again refused the right to medical examination

April 9 13:48

In Krasnoyarsk, the court once again refused the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Sergey Natarov in conducting a medical examination, his lawyer Alexander Khopot said.

He recalled that the politician confirmed the 3rd degree hypertension with the risk of transition to the fourth and heart failure. Forensic expert and two professors of forensic medicine of the medical university named after N.I. Pirogov gave conclusions that these diseases impede the detention.

The same opinion was expressed in the Ministry of Health of Russia: the legal request was given to the answer that the diagnosis corresponds to the list of diseases that impede the detention. But all the warnings of expert doctors were ignored, which regularly led to the need to call an ambulance team in the court during the consideration of the case, the lawyer said.

As a result, in October 2024, Sergey Natarov carried out emergency stenting of the coronary vessels of the heart. In December, a forensic psychiatric examination was conducted, which revealed claustrophobia from a politician. Despite this, it is continued to contain it in closed spaces – in the convoy room and autosak.

“All decisions of the Kirovsky District Court, according to the defense, are aimed at ensuring that Sergei Vasilyevich had a serious heart disease in any legal way and there were no grounds for his immediate release,” said lawyer Alexander Khopot.

The defense plans to appeal the decisions of the Kirovsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk in higher authorities as contradicted to amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure in February 2025. They prohibit the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to a person with a confirmed serious disease.
