An 18-year-old teenager died shortly after returning from a coming-of-age party. The police from Timișoara are investigating the case

An 18-year-old student from Timisoara was found out of breath on Saturday afternoon, according to News.ro. The boy had attended a coming-of-age party and went to his room to sleep. The mother found him and alerted the authorities.

”On December 13, 2025, at around 4:15 p.m., the policemen of Timişoara Urbane Section 2 were alerted to the fact that a young man was found dead in his home in Timişoara. Arriving at the scene, the police found that it was an 18-year-old man, who was found dead by his mother. The young man showed no signs of violence, the body being transported to IML Timişoara for the necropsy”, IPJ Timiş reported.

The boy's mother told the police that her boy attended a coming-of-age party on the night of Friday to Saturday. Around 6:00 he returned home and asked his mother to prepare a snack for him. Then he went to his room to rest. His mother had left his snack in the room.

On Saturday morning, the mother left home, with chores, leaving her boy to rest. Around 4:00 p.m. when he got home, he found his boy out of breath, and only one bite of the snack was taken. Police officers and a medical team arrived at the scene and found the boy's death

The police have drawn up a criminal case for manslaughter.
