The patron from FCSB also attracted attention through his gestures during the religious ceremony, being generous to those in the church.

He distributed money to the children during the service

During the religious service, Gigi Becali was extremely emotional and could hardly control his tears. The patron saint of FCSB spent much of the ceremony teary-eyed, participating in prayers and singing along with the church choir. At one point, the businessman also made a gesture of generosity. According to fanatik.ro, he offered 50 euros each to the three children at the Patriarchate.

The emotions displayed by Becali come in a complicated season for FCSB. After two years in which the team dominated the championship and had a good run in Europe, the current season has been much more difficult. The team from Bucharest has lost many points since the start of the season and has not been able to return to the fight for the play-offs, now performing in the play-outs.

The only chance of a comeback for FCSB

Even so, Gigi Becali still hopes that FCSB can salvage a season considered disappointing. The only chance for the Bucharest team to reach the European Cups is to win the two play-off matches for qualification in the UEFA Conference League.

FCSB is already sure of the presence in the play-out bracket, but it is not yet known whether they will play at home or away. If it passes FC Botoșani or Csikszereda, the team will then play a decisive match against Dinamo or Rapid for a place in the Conference League.
