Many people experience heaviness in their wrists and numbness in their fingers at the end of the working day, especially after hours of working at a keyboard or smartphone. I want to relax, but I don’t have time for a massage or a visit to a specialist. There is a simple solution – just one movement that can be performed right at your workplace. It improves microcirculation in the joints, relieves tendons, relieves swelling and gently restores finger mobility.
How to do:
- Sit up straight, place your feet on the floor, lower your shoulders.
- Stretch your arms out in front of you, palms down, fingers straight.
- Begin to slowly bend and straighten your wrists, as if opening and closing invisible doors.
- Make movements smoothly, without sudden jerks.
- Make sure your elbows remain slightly bent and do not go out to the sides.
- Perform for 1-2 minutes, then pause for 20 seconds.
- Repeat 2 more approaches. Don't hold your breath, breathe deeply and evenly.
- As you inhale, straighten your chest, and as you exhale, gently relax your shoulders. This increases blood flow in the collar area and improves nutrition of the joints of the hands.
After the first execution, you will feel how your hands become warmer, and the stiffness in your fingers goes away. This movement helps relieve fatigue in 3-5 days and prevents the development of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Start with one set if your arms are very tired. Over time, bring it to three. Do it every hour during breaks and notice how your typing on the keyboard becomes more confident.
