Nazarovskaya GRES continues the systematic renewal of equipment: currently, within the framework of the Renovation investment program, work is underway to replace the auxiliary transformer TSR-22 of power unit No. 2. The commissioning of new equipment is scheduled for the end of November 2025.
Replaceable transformer TSR 22 (type TRD 20000/35) produced by the Moscow Transformer Plant named after. Kuibyshev was put into operation at the station back in 1964. It is being replaced by a modern three-phase two-winding transformer TRDNS 25000/35 U1. The new equipment is equipped with natural oil circulation and forced airflow, as well as a load voltage regulation (OLTC) function. Its estimated service life is 30 years.
“The conditions under which the work is carried out cannot be called simple: installation takes place on the street, at the station node, in close proximity to the equipment in operation. At the same time, Nazarovskaya GRES continues to operate as normal, providing heat and electricity to consumers,” said the press service of the Siberian Generating Company.

Despite the difficulties, the process is proceeding strictly according to schedule. Design work, survey and development of technical solutions were completed back in 2024. In September 2025, the Lyubertsy plant “Montazhavtomatika” supplied a new transformer to the station, and construction and installation work immediately began. They are performed by the contracting organization IES-Engineering.
It is worth noting that this is not the first replacement of such equipment. In 2024, the TSR-26 transformer was successfully replaced with a similar TRDNS 25000/35 U1.
“What benefits will the new technology bring? Firstly, the reliability of power supply for the station’s own needs will increase. Secondly, the period of trouble-free operation of the equipment will be extended. And thirdly, the risks of technological violations caused by natural wear and tear of units will be reduced,” explained the SGC.
The year 2025 became a landmark year for the environmental modernization of the Nazarovo State District Power Plant. As part of the Comprehensive Environmental Permit issued by the Yenisei Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, a large-scale modernization of gas treatment plants has started at the station. This project is aimed at significantly reducing emissions of particulate matter into the air and reducing ash content. As a result, a noticeable improvement in the environmental situation in the city of Nazarovo is expected.
