In Krasnoyarsk, the fountain operating season starts on May 9 from 08:00. Of the 30 structures that are maintained from the city budget, 26 will be launched. This was reported by the mayor’s office.
Now specialists are completing the final preparations – conducting test launches, checking water figures, pumps, underwater lighting and lanterns, operation of equipment and musical equipment.

According to tradition, on May 9, the first day of the season, the light and music fountain on Teatralnaya Square will operate as a show accompanied by wartime songs. It will start at 21:00 and will go until 22:00. The rest of the time the fountain will be in show mode from 21:00 to 22:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.
The light and music show on the fountain in the park behind the May 1 House of Culture can be seen daily from 13:00 to 14:00, from 18 to 19:00 and from 21:00 to 22:00.
The operating schedule of city fountains is posted on the administration website.
The Geysers fountains on Kopylova Street and the fountain on the square in front of the Cultural Center on Vysotnaya will be under renovation this summer. Work also continues on the “Rivers of Siberia” fountain on Teatralnaya Square. And the Icarus fountain in Cosmonauts Park is awaiting major repairs, which will take place simultaneously with the renovation of the entire park. It is planned to renew two more fountains this season – near the courthouse on Mira Avenue and in the park on the street. 26 Baku Commissars, but since the amount of work here is small, the fountains will be launched and turned off during repairs.
The mayor's office noted that city fountains are the hallmark of Krasnoyarsk and reminded citizens to treat them with care and follow safety rules:
“Swimming in the fountains is prohibited as this can result in serious injury. The structures contain sharp elements, as well as electrical cable equipment. In addition, the water in the bowls is far from drinking quality, because it is changed maximum once a week, and before that it circulates in a circle. It is forbidden to throw garbage, sticks and stones into the fountains, or pour paint or household chemicals – this can damage them. For damage to city property there are fines and, in some cases, criminal liability.”
