Gazprom Neft determined the winners of the contest “Best in Profession” among gas station staff and oil depots

In St. Petersburg, the annual professional skill competition among gas stations and the oil tank infrastructure “Gazprom Neft” ended. More than 170 specialists competed in the final of the competition, showing the best results in regional qualifying stages.

In total, more than 2000 people took part in the starting competitive selection this year. Operators and managers of gas stations, engineers, metrologists, fuel quality control, fuel drivers and representatives of other professions who provide fuel logistics and client service to motorists fought for the title of “best in profession”. They competed in 16 nominations.

For the first time this year, students of specialized secondary school educational institutions visited the competition sites. Future experts were able to learn more about professions at the fuel and logistics facilities, to visit production sites.

The final of the competition was held at five gas stations in St. Petersburg, the fuel terminal “Gladkoye” in the Leningrad Region, as well as a fuel truck specially prepared for the competitions of fuel trucks, where they demonstrated driving skills and performed tasks along the route for the transportation of fuel from oil base to gas stations.

“A professional skill competition is an important part of Gazprom Neft personnel and one of the professional traditions of the company. This is an opportunity to exchange experience, test knowledge, as well as get into the personnel reserve of highly qualified specialists. This year, the competition also became a career guidance site for students. They were able to plunge in the profession at gas stations and oil depots, got acquainted with the production tasks that experts solve. I am sure that this experience will be the motivation for future employment and will open interesting career prospects, ”said Dmitry Shepelsky, director of Gazprom Neft, regional sales.
