The parade and the “immortal regiment” were canceled in Crimea

In the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, occupied by the aggressor country Russia, the parade and the so-called march of the “immortal regiment” on May 9 have been canceled. The head of the occupation administration, Sergei Aksenov, announced this on May 5 in Telegram.

According to him, propaganda events are “not planned.”

“This decision by the authorities is dictated by security considerations,” he wrote.

The occupation authorities promise to hold “celebratory events in various formats” and “celebrate the holiday with dignity.”
