Iran announces new rules in the Strait of Hormuz. The Revolutionary Guards warn

Under the new system, all ships wishing to transit the Strait of Hormuz will receive an email from an address associated with the Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) informing them of the new rules and regulations regarding passage, according to reports cited by CNN.
Ships must obtain transit authorization before crossing the waterway, one of the world's most important oil transshipment points.
The initiative was described as a “sovereign governance system and is currently being implemented in the Strait of Hormuz,” reads the statement, cited by CNN.
IRGC warns
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it would take “strong action” against ships using transit routes through the Strait of Hormuz that were not approved by Iran, Fars news agency reported.
Iran's news agency published a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, originally in Persian, warning all ships passing through the strait to follow “the only safe route announced by Iran” — otherwise they “will face a strong response” from the navy.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says the US-Iran ceasefire is “not over” despite the Strait of Hormuz attacks on Monday.
Donald Trump's “Project Freedom” aims to use the US military to refloat ships stuck in the strait.
But Iran insists it controls the strait – and yesterday, according to the US, it fired missiles and drones at military and commercial ships.
