After calling it a 'mini-war' or 'little trip', Trump now calls Iran war a 'little skirmish'

US President Donald Trump tried again, on Tuesday, to downplay the scale of the war against Iran, describing the conflict as a “small skirmish”, reports AFP.
“We are in a little military skirmish. I call it a skirmish because Iran has no chance,” said the US president during an event held at the White House.
Trump: “We hit an all-time high stock market today despite the fact that we're in a little skirmish. I call it a skirmish.”

The Republican leader regularly boasts about what he sees as the spectacular successes of Operation Epic Fury against Iran, whose navy he claims has been “annihilated,” and has spoken openly of “war” on several occasions.
But he also very often uses a vocabulary that tends to minimize this conflict, which is unpopular among Americans.
On Monday, he called for a “mini-war”.
The US president has previously described the conflict as a “little trip”.
