Citi Handlowy Bank has been tempting customers with attractive promotions for years. Most often, these were Citi Simplicity credit cards, although systematic promotions also included the flagship CitiKonto. These are the last days to take advantage of them. After taking over Citi's operations, the new owner – VeloBank – may have a different approach to marketing campaigns and not launch them as often as its predecessor.

Citi Simplicity Card – 3 packages to choose from
The Citi Simplicity card is the bank's flagship loan product. Regardless of the selected promotion, the fee for issuing and servicing the card is PLN 0 for the first 12 months from the conclusion of the contract. In the following months, you can avoid the standard fee of PLN 12 per month by completing transactions for a total amount of at least PLN 1,000 in a given month. The APR is currently 18.16%.

The rules are simple – you have to do it for the first 12 months make at least 5 transactions per month with a credit card for a total amount of at least PLN 300 per month. In the case of this promotion, after opening a Citi Simplicity credit card, you can earn PLN 1,200 in the form of Allegro gift cards. The rules are identical to the previously mentioned promotion. In each of the first 12 months, you must make at least 5 non-cash transactions for a total amount of at least PLN 300. For each month you meet the conditions, you will receive a voucher for PLN 100.
The promotion lasts until May 15, 2026, and the pool is limited to 1,000 contracts.

- Option C: “A card that shows benefits!” (Apple Watch + Cashback)
Citi Handlowy also has a tempting promotion for fans of technological gadgets. By signing up for a Citi Simplicity credit card as part of the “Card That Shows Benefits” promotion! you can gain Apple Watch SE 3 smartwatch (worth approx. PLN 1,000) and up to PLN 300 cash back.
In this case, the promotion rules are different. To get the smartwatch you have to in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd month after concluding the contract, make at least 10 transactions for a minimum amount of PLN 1,000 (the requirement applies to each month separately). A bonus of PLN 200 will be awarded if in the 4th, 5th and 6th month you make at least 5 transactions worth at least PLN 300 per month. An ideal card for Citibank-BP Motokarta drivers
Citi Handlowy's offer includes another tempting promotion. For people who regularly use gas stations, the bank has prepared BP Motokarta. Its greatest advantage is that the issuance and operation of the main card is unconditionally free (PLN 0). The APR is currently 15.50%, which is lower than the Citi Simplicity card.
This card is linked to the Mastercard Bezcenne Chwile program, offering accelerated points collection:
- starting bonus: 4,000 welcome points for registering in the program, which is the equivalent of PLN 50 to spend in the prize catalog.
- points for refueling: you receive 4 points for every PLN 5 spent at BP stations.
- bonuses for large expenses: by making transactions for a minimum of PLN 150 at the BP station, you can gain additional packages of 1,500 points twice a month (up to 3,000 points in total per month).
Collected points can be exchanged, among others: for fuel vouchers worth PLN 50, codes for a vacuum cleaner, free car washing (Golden program) and free coffee and hot dogs at BP stations.

Who can apply for a card and how?
To take part in the promotion, you must not have a credit card from Citi Handlowy and meet the minimum financial criteria depending on the form of employment:
- natural persons: at least 18 years of age, minimum net income of PLN 1,200 and employment experience in the current company of at least 3 months.
- people running a business: at least 18 years of age, minimum net income of PLN 2,500 and running the current company for at least 2 years.
Application process in 3 simple steps
This process has been simplified and digitized as much as possible:
- Submitting the application: you can complete the entire application online, or leave your contact details on the first page of the application to request an interview with an advisor. You will also need to attach income documents.
- Verification by “selfie”: to confirm your identity without visiting a courier or a bank, just take a photo of your ID card and take a photo of your face in a special online system.
- card shipping and activation: if the bank assesses your creditworthiness positively, the finished plastic will be sent to you by post. However, you do not have to wait for the shipment – you can immediately activate the electronic version of the card in the Citi Mobile application and start using it via digital wallets.
A word of warning: a credit card is a tool, not a gift
The above promotions are attractive – provided you use the card wisely. A credit card only makes money if you pay off the balance in full each month. If you don't do this, the interest quickly eats up the value of the bonus.
A few rules worth remembering:
- Treat your credit limit like your own money. If you don't have the money to repay, don't spend;
- set your balance to be paid off automatically. This eliminates the risk of forgetting about the deadline;
- do not withdraw cash from your credit card. Commissions and interest are calculated immediately, without an interest-free period;
- track your expenses. The Citi Mobile application shows transaction history in real time.
