Over the past 24 hours, specialists from the regional Forest Fire Center extinguished 8 forest fires covering an area of 93 hectares. Fires were active in Bolsheuluisky, Abansky, Kansky, Krasnoyarsky, Sukhobuzimsky, Sayansky, Kuraginsky, Minusinsky forest districts.
135 people, as well as 27 pieces of equipment, worked on the fire. 6 aircraft were involved in air patrols and delivery of forces and equipment to fire sites.
According to preliminary data, the fires occurred due to careless handling of fire and due to its transfer from lands of other categories.
According to operational information as of 9:00 on May 3, there are three forest fires in the region covering an area of 168 hectares in the Tayozhinsky, Abansky, and Magansky forest districts. 59 people are fighting the fire, 6 units of equipment are involved. Preliminarily, the cause of the fire was a violation of fire safety rules.

The situation with forest fires in the region is under control. There is no threat to populated areas. Depending on the weather conditions, the territory of the state forest fund is patrolled by specialists from the regional Forest Fire Center, Forest Guard and forestry departments.
A multi-stage monitoring system has been deployed in the region, which includes the capabilities of a UAV fleet, space photography, video monitoring, ground and air patrols. This allows up to 95% of fires to be detected at an early stage and quickly eliminated.
