Kirill Dmitriev arrived in Miami on Saturday to meet with the American delegation, AFP reported, citing sources in Russian circles.
A moment earlier, the Kremlin's envoy posted on the X platform a critical entry about the Wall Street Journal's article about the details of American negotiator Steve Witkoff's visits to Russia.
“Another false attack by WSJ on peace. Facts: Russia did not propose to exchange Marc Fogel ([odbyła się] on the initiative of the USA). Russia never asked Steve Witkoff to come to the meeting alone (always [przyjeżdża] with American security/team). There was no caviar, no gifts. The closer to the room, the more desperate [stają się] attacks on pacifists by the war lobby and the hypocritical media,” he wrote.
Thus, Kirill Dmitriev rejected claims that Marc Fogel, imprisoned by Russia, was released as a gift to Steve Witkoff for his good attitude during a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He also denied that the Russian side had asked for the US envoy to go to the Kremlin without the services, as well as the reports about caviar allegedly given to Steve Witkoff by the Russians.

More negotiations between the US and Russia
The next round of peace negotiations between the United States and Russia is scheduled to take place on Saturday in Florida. The Russian delegation will be led by Kirill Dmitriev, who announced his trip on social media. On the American side, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will take part in the talks.
According to the latest reports from Reuters, US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio may also join the negotiations. Previous meetings in this area were held at Steve Witkoff's golf club in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
On Friday, the American delegation held talks in Florida with the Ukrainian side, represented by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rust Umerov, and Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff, Andriy Hnatov. Security advisers from Germany, France and Great Britain also participated in the discussion, Axios reported.

The talks take place shortly after the Berlin summit, where European leaders announced that the US and Europe had committed to working together to provide Ukraine with security guarantees in the event of an end to the war.
According to the Financial Times, Kirill Dmitriev is one of the architects of the peace plan for Ukraine revealed by the media in November, co-created by “a group of Russian and American officials”, which was deemed unacceptable by Ukraine and its allies.
