Inspectors will start carrying out inspections in July. Big changes possible on the labor market

The minister emphasized in the interview that, in her opinion, this number will gradually decrease, including: thanks to inspections by the National Labor Inspectorate, which are scheduled to start in July. — I am convinced that the number of fictitious civil law contracts, i.e. junk contracts that should be employment contracts, will decrease. Because it is worth distinguishing – emphasized Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk. She added that not all civil law contracts are garbage, because many of them are concluded in accordance with the law.

National Labor Inspectorate (PIP) inspections will start in July. There will be fewer garbage trucks
Dziemianowicz-Bąk said that awareness is growing in Poland, both on the part of employees and employers, who, in her opinion, will give up garbage collection to avoid penalties and problems. Additionally, in July, PIP officials will start carrying out inspections at workplaces.
Pursuant to the adopted act, the National Labor Inspectorate will be able to transform garbage contracts into employment contracts in two ways: administratively, by issuing a decision, or in court, by filing a lawsuit to establish the existence of an employment relationship.
Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk also commented on the increase in unemployment in recent months, assessing that one of the causes of this phenomenon is, among others, seasonality of work. — We've had the harshest winter in years. For this reason, we observed the suspension of some works, e.g. in the construction sector, she explained in an interview quoted by PAP. She added that the situation in data counting was also changed by the Act on the labor market and employment services, which entered into force last year.

— It changed the rules for removing people from the unemployment register and made it easier to register at the place of residence, instead of, as before, registration. This meant that people who were actually unemployed before, but were invisible to the system, were noticed. We estimate that if it weren't for these changes, there would be approx. 100,000 fewer people in the statistics. fewer people, she said.
